Becky and Natalie are traveling through Ghana with the\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abwe.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Association of Baptists for World Evangelism<\/a> Mission Board to research various child care centers and orphanages. <a title=\"Touch A Life Care Center\" href=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/our-programs\/ghana\/touch-a-life-care-center\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Touch A Life&#8217;s Care Center<\/a> in Kumasi was at the top of Becky&#8217;s list to visit, as she had heard about the long-term care provided to children rescued from trafficking and exploitation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-3152\" src=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/IMG_1726-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1726\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" data-id=\"3152\" \/>Becky and Natalie were able to stay in Kumasi for three days, spending time with our kids and talking with our Care Center staff. On Sunday they taught a lesson about putting others before yourself and included a fun craft for all of the kids to create! They talked about the differences between being <em>selfISH<\/em> and <em>selfLESS<\/em>, so on their paintings the word &#8220;self&#8221; is small and &#8220;others&#8221; is larger.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/IMG_1734.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-3153\" src=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/IMG_1734-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1734\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" data-id=\"3153\" \/><\/a>When we asked Becky about her favorite moments at the Care Center, she said, &#8220;W<span style=\"color: #000000;\">hen we started the teaching we started out with songs, and when I asked the kids to sing a song they sang <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/9iC2rxEdUQY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Holy Ground<\/a>, and we really liked that song and the way they sang!&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>If you are interested in <a title=\"Volunteer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/get-involved\/volunteer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">volunteering<\/a> with Touch A Life, either in the US or in Ghana, we&#8217;d love to <a title=\"Contact Us\" href=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/contact-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">talk to you<\/a>!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week our children had some special visitors!
