Summer is just around the corner and our Care Center in Ghana is going to be filled with activity and learning! From the end of May to the beginning of July, Touch A Life’s Collegiate Internship Program<\/a> will be in full swing. Later in the summer our Care Center\u00a0will be\u00a0hosting The Justice School<\/a> for a week of training.<\/p>\n

The Justice School is a\u00a0faith-based intensive training course designed for young adults learning\u00a0to competently fight Social Injustice. Their program started in Thailand in conjunction with Thrive Rescue<\/a>, which focuses on care for young survivors of trafficking. This summer The Justice School will expand to Ghana and includes\u00a0a week at the Touch A Life Care Center as part of their curriculum discussing\u00a0aspects of fighting human trafficking, prevention, rescue, restoration, survivor care.<\/p>\n

The team includes Summer Downs, The Justice School Assistant Director and ten\u00a0undergraduate students from the United States and South Africa. Touch A Life’s Ghana Director, Bernard Fianku, will speaking to the students on the practical aspects of caring for children who have been exploited. The Justice School team will also be\u00a0sharing Art Healing methods with our Care Center staff while the children are at school.<\/p>\n

After The Justice School completes their week of training at our Care Center in Kumasi, they will travel to Accra and work on a human trafficking data collection project with UBelong<\/a>. Each student\u00a0will also become certified through the course in Global Injustice Response Training during their time in Ghana.<\/p>\n

We are honored that The Justice School chose Touch A Life as a partner in their hands-on training program. These students will certainly be making a tangible difference in the fight to end slavery!<\/span><\/p>\n
