This passionate group planned a multi-day art and music camp at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/carecenter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Touch A Life Care Center<\/a> with activities for all ages! Suitcases full of art supplies such as polaroid cameras, Legos, sidewalk chalk, and even a few guitars made their way to the Care Center from all over the United States.<\/p>\n<p>The youngest Touch A Life kids, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/25-New-Children\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">25 children who were rescued in October and November<\/a>, participated in activities that introduced various art supplies and methods. Nan brought homemade lego-shaped crayons to draw pictures of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/arthealing\/connorcreative\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Connor Creative Art Center<\/a>, while other team members shared how to sew simple dolls, and make fun shapes out of pipe cleaners.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_24441.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3855\" src=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_24441.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2444\" width=\"750\" height=\"1125\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8047.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3858\" src=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8047.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8047\" width=\"750\" height=\"1000\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8120.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3867\" src=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8120.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8120\" width=\"750\" height=\"563\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8062.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3859\" src=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8062.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8062\" width=\"750\" height=\"1000\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In January, each of the newest Touch A Life kids had created a drawing that would be made into a tile and placed with the rest of the entryway mosaic at the Art Center. The Deals returned to Ghana with the finished tiles and a local mason laid them in place. Every child stood close to find their artwork and proudly admired the finished installation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_6655.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3860\" src=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_6655.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_6655\" width=\"750\" height=\"1125\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When the older children came home from school each day, they were ready to show off their new skills that they learned in the Art Center from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/story\/team\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kwame, Touch A Life&#8217;s Ghana Art Director<\/a>. The Deals and their team were greeted with sketchbooks full of drawings and canvases with paintings in progress. They also built vehicles and structures with Lego Technics sets!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8070.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3861\" src=\"https:\/\/www.touchalifekids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8070.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8070\" width=\"750\" height=\"1000\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Some older boys and girls with an interest in guitar gathered in the Art Center for guitar lessons! Guitars were donated by team members and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.connorssong.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Connor&#8217;s Song<\/a>, and the Art Center was immediately filled with music.
